Tokyo and its 1964's Heritage Zone by Chloé
Located in East Asia, Tokyo is the national capital of Japan. It has more than 13,000,000 inhabitants. It holds several world records in the field of technology and is considered as a smart and connected city. It is also known for its lively streets and its traditional culture which is known internationally. We will talk about Tokyo and its 1964's Heritage Zone, an example of sustainability.
The Heritage Zone is the area that includes several buildings
dedicated to the Olympic Games such as stadiums or gymnasium
where sports are practiced. Sometimes, the Olympic cities abandon
these area (which is not ecological), we have concrete examples
like Athens or Rio... and it is on this point that the Japan succeeded
in finding ingenious ideas to rehabilitate the area that they had
built during the Olympic Games of 1964.
The heritage zone and the
Tokyo bay zone expand across the city to form an 'infinity' symbol
with the Athletes' village positioned at the point where the two
zones intersect.
The 'infinity' symbol embodies the boundless passion, commitment
and inspiration of the world's elite athletes...
